My mother

Amelia,

My mother Sara Rotfarb, was born in Bielitsa (or Belica) in the Lida Gubernia (district) of Belarus ( Poland at times ) in 1917.

Her parents Heschl (Geschl, Joshua) Rabinovitch and Etka (Ester) Shabshinski.

At young age the family moved to Ignalina ( not far from Bielitsa ).

Later they moved to Trakai (Troki) which is a town near Wilna.

Her Father worked as a representative of the Mir Yeshiva.

Her Brother Moshe Rabinovitch had an estate agency in Wilna.

Her mother's parent were Nachaman Shabshinski and Malka Baranchuk.

Today I started our tribes blog

Well, today, I added this blog in Google.
I hope it will be a family tool for communicating ideas and thoughts.

Family for me is anybody who feals close to me or to other people who are close to me.

The Halperns, Rothfarbs, Sclairs, Rozenbergs,Coltons, Adlers, martins ....and more are all family for me.
